Pritam D. Gautam, solutions-oriented ICT Professional, with two decades of experience in System Design, Development, Implementation and Support, post graduate degree in Information Technology and international credentials in the field of Project Management (PMP), and Information Security (CISSP). Notable success in directing a broad range of corporate ICT initiatives while strategically and cost effectively utilizing technology in alignment with corporate goals. Consistently improve delivery times and service levels with reducing costs. Excel at strategic planning, building high-performance teams, project management, and implementing best practice methodologies and continuous improvement programs.
He is currently working as GM - ICT Limited, with one of the India's leading infrastructure developer, DSC Limited, and is responsible for solution architecting, and proposing technology roadmap along with team/ resource/ vendor/ delivery management.
During his career he has written research papers for clients on "Cyber Cafe and Crime (2003)", "Understanding and developing applications on fingerprint identification systems (2003)", "Mobile Computing in Education System (2001)", and "Understanding PDA as a software delivery and consumer platform (1998)".
Besides being a PMP, he holds special interest in the area of security and cyber-crime and has credentials like CISSP, Diploma in Cyber Laws to add to his portfolio. Among his major achievements include, an award for saving approximately Rs. 30-35 Lacs, almost overnight by developing an application to deploy new technology on 240 Pentium class computers, without disrupting normal operations, in the year 1997. He is also credited for, developing FDA (USA) approved neurosurgery product; designing, developing, and implementing the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) SDK for use by National Informatics Centre (NIC), at Asia's largest prison - Tihar Prisons, Delhi, and linking it with other state prisons subsequently. Recently he has also been selected as one of 100 Next Generation Chief Information Officers (CIOs) by a panel of over 50 CIOs across the country in an event managed by ITNext.

Roles & Responsibilities

As President he is responsible for overall oversight of the chapter and the board. The president shall direct the activities of the other board members in accordance with the chapter bylaws. List of his duties include:

  1. Direct the chapter's strategic goals
  2. Strive to achieve the chapter vision, mission and objectives as detailed by the chapter board and PMI and chapter strategic plan
  3. Direct the activities of other officers toward chapter goals and objectives
  4. Assure that the chapter board works together as a team
  5. Represent the chapter at public events
  6. Ensure strategic alliance, planning and annual reporting
  7. Act as a liaison between the chapter and PMI
  8. Ensure that the charter renewal is updated and in compliance as specified by PMI
  9. Preside over the board of directors meetings and the annual general membership meeting
  10. Ensure that all chapter business is being done legally and ethically
  11. Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance in consultation with the vice president of finance
  12. Promote leadership development opportunities for board development.
  13. Develop and implement a succession and transition plan
  14. Appoint Nominations Committee members, members to mid-term vacant Board positions, committees and committee chairpersons, advisors, directors, etc.
