Topic Abstract: Risk Management is one of the knowledge areas of Project Management and an important aspect. This webinar would focus on learnings from real life case studies. Webinar would start with discussion on concepts of Risk Management and learnings from case study 'Sinking of Titanic Ship'.

Profile of the speaker: Dr. Vanita Ahuja, a board member of PMI North India Chapter is Associate Professor and Program Director at RICS School of Built Environment, Amity University, Noida, India. She has +20 years of industry and academic experience in the area of Construction Project Management. She has been associated with prestigious institutions as Visiting Faculty and has also been providing training of executives in the area of Construction Management. These trainings are conducted across the country for executives of government departments and private sector.

In industry she has worked on projects of varying nature like residential and school projects, commercial projects etc. and has also provided consultancy for Delhi Metro project. Her consultancy areas are planning, scheduling and monitoring of projects and establishing PMO (Project Management Office) for construction organisations. In policy making area she is part of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) working groups drafting codes for 'Construction Project Management'.

She has widely published research papers, has contributed chapters in edited books and published a book 'India Project Management Case Studies'. Her research focus is towards adoption of IT tools and ICT for Construction Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Urban Infrastructure Management. She is passionate about increasing role of women in the construction industry. She is on the International editorial board of Emerald journal 'Smart and Sustainable Built Environment'
